Emidisc - Sound Of Free / Fallin' In Love

- This acetate was sold on Ebay in the Summer of 2018. What makes this acetate interesting are the names and titles that are crossed out. Apparently during the making of this pressing the single was considered to become a Beach Boys release with the alternate title "Settle Down". According to insiders the first attempts at a basic track for the song that later became "Sound Of Free", were originally logged as "Settle Down". Also interesting is the apparent fact that the original title "Lady" was considered to be re-titled "Fallin' In Love". But for the final release the title was changed again to the original title.

- This oddity was offered on Ebay in October 2011. The seller was aware of the fact that date and artist didn't match with the original release (in 1970 by Dennis Wilson & Rumbo).According to the seller perhaps this acetate was made as there might have been some reason for EMI in the UK to be considering reissuing the record. Another possibility could be that is was perhaps used for a radio special, and possibly copied (ie an original copy made into an acetate so the producers of the special could have a copy to use as they needed) so it was available for this radio show. Whatever the reason, this acetate looks to be a legit (re)issue.
