USA TRIP (Oldies) label |

In January 1970 another budget label, TRIP, did the same as ERA: a release of several low-budget records called "Super Oldies Of The 60s". On Volume 4 (Trip TOP 60 4), 5 (Trip TOP 60 5), and 7 (Trip TOP 60 7) respectively the Beach Boys songs Surfin' Safari, Surfer Girl and Surfin' were added, again Hite Morgan recordings. These 3 songs also found their way on two 45's.
The Super Oldies album series and the 45's were re-released several times during the 70ies on different label-layouts. For instance in 1975, this time on the Trip Oldies label, but with the same catalogue number.
We assume - based on information of those who've bought these rare 45's at the time - that this is probably the order in which these 45's were released:
1) BLACK LABEL (Silver Font)--NO Oldies Notation--NO

2) BLACK LABEL (Silver Font)--OLDIES Notation--NO Bottom Rim Print
3) PINK/GREEN LABEL (Black Font)--OLDIES Notation--NO Bottom Rim Print
4) YELLOW (Black Font)--"A Division of Springboard" on Bottom Rim
5) YELLOW with ORANGE (Black Font)--"A Division of Springboard" on Bottom Rim
6) BLACK LABEL (Alternate Silver Font)--"A Product of Springboard" on Bottom Rim
7) GOLD LABEL (Crystal Type) (Black Font)--"A Product of Springboard" on Bottom
