A lot has been written on the Beach Boys first single release. Basically we're familiar with a series of 5 following issues, as shown below. But for the fanatic collector there's much more to discover. Not to discourage you, but if you REALLY want to collect a complete set of Surfin' / Luau singles, you're up for a task as there are numerous label variations to be discovered. We happily advise you to check out Frank Daniels thorough explanation on both the background/timeline of all Candix / X Records releases and the existing variations.
