RR 1101 - Don't Fight The Sea / Friends (A Capella)

- Limited white vinyl edition with red label, symbolising the Japanese flag, released on April 2011.

- A-side is Al Jardine, featuring Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, Mike Love & Bruce Johnston, with Matt Jardine and Scott Mathews.

- The Japanese logo shown on the label mean 'friends'.

- The single was put together to support the Red Cross's Japanese disaster relief efforts. The label shown here is the standards one, but it was also possible to obtain more expensive copies autographed by either Al Jardine, or Al Jardine, Brian Wilson, Mike Love and Bruce Johnston.

 
     
Test pressing: apparently only 4 copies of this test pressing exist.
 
     
Blanc sleeve, autographed by four Beach Boys: Brian Wilson, Al Jardine, Mike Love, and Bruce Johnston.

- Only 90 sleeves were autographed by all four, and all were handnumbered on the back side of the sleeve. This one is #20/90.

- The white sleeve was scanned with a green background, in order to make the sleeve itself more visible.
     
The Al Jardine only signed single.

The regular release without autographs, black streaks on white vinyl.

- this was probably (one of) the first pressing on white vinyl after the factory had done a run of black vinyl singles and there was some black vinyl left on the press.
 
     

Second issue (June 2011), on black vinyl
